Recent Foldable Phones Launches
There has been a recent surge in the launch of foldable phones, with popular models like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the HONOR Magic V3 gaining attention. TECNO PHANTOM V Fold 2 Features
TECNO’s latest foldable phone, the PHANTOM V Fold 2, has undergone some changes from its predecessor. The rear camera module now features a triple-lens system in an unconventional rectangular module design, departing from the previous circular housing. The phone retains its faux leather back and curvy display sides, maintaining a unique aesthetic.
Notable Upgrades in PHANTOM V Fold 2
One of the significant upgrades in the PHANTOM V Fold 2 is the increased battery capacity, now at 5,750mAh compared to the original’s 5,000mAh. The phone also supports faster charging with a maximum of 70W charging speeds. Additionally, TECNO has introduced 15W wireless charging for the first time on their foldable phones, providing users with more charging options.
TECNO PHANTOM V Fold 2 Storage / Display
The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold 2 retains the 12GB of RAM and offers either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The external display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, while the internal display features the same refresh rate on a “2K+” screen, although specifics on what “2K+” entails remain unclear.
However, crucial details about the phone are still undisclosed, such as the chipset it will use. Additionally, information on pricing, release date, and availability in different countries is yet to be announced. Hopefully, these details will be disclosed soon.
Reimagined Design of TECNO PHANTOM V Flip 2
TECNO has revamped the appearance of the PHANTOM V Flip, replacing the large circular camera module with a cover display resembling a smartwatch. The new design features an all-over display with cutouts for the two camera lenses, reminiscent of Motorola’s Razr line. The device boasts a 6.9-inch internal panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, described by TECNO as “ultra-flat.”
Enhanced Battery and Charging Features
The PHANTOM V Flip 2 comes with a substantial battery upgrade, now housing a 4,720mAh cell, and supports 70W wired charging. However, the device lacks wireless charging capabilities. Despite the improvements in battery capacity and charging speed, TECNO has not disclosed pricing details or availability information for the device.
Unrevealed Processor and Future Availability
TECNO has not revealed details about the processor powering the PHANTOM V Flip 2, although the previous model featured a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset. The company has not provided any information regarding the release date or pricing of the device, leaving consumers eagerly anticipating further updates on this innovative smartphone.
