Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Design

The Razr 50 Ultra, weighing 189 grams, has a thinner profile when closed and a new hinge design for improved durability. It has an IPX8 rating for water resistance but falls short of the dust and water protection offered by newer competitors.

The phone’s flat opening and innovative software features like Sleep display and Desk display enhance usability and reduce battery consumption, turning the cover screen into a mini photo frame.

The Razr 50 Ultra has a 4.0-inch cover display with a resolution of 1,272 x 1,080 pixels and a 6.9-inch main display with a resolution of 2,640 x 1,080 pixels. It has a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and HDR10+ certification, making it ideal for outdoor use.

Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Performance

The Razr 50 Ultra, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, offers solid performance but falls short of competitors. Benchmark scores align with last year’s models, and the device can heat up during camera use, potentially impacting performance.

Software Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI

The Motorola Hello UI Android 14 device offers a smooth, intuitive software experience, with preinstalled apps enhancing usability. Its larger display enables multitasking and integrates with Google’s Gemini AI for quick tasks.

Camera 50MP main camera with OIS

The device features a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP telephoto lens, providing vibrant colors and good detail. However, low-light performance suffers due to the lack of OIS on the telephoto lens, and the selfie camera struggles in low-light scenarios.

Battery 4,000mAh

The Razr 50 Ultra has a 4,000mAh battery that lasts a full day, supports 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, and lasted over 20 hours in a video loop test, showcasing its efficiency.

Verdict Innovative Features, Solid Performance

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra offers a refined foldable experience, addressing previous models’ shortcomings. It stands out in the clamshell smartphone market with innovative features, solid performance, and impressive battery life, appealing to both new and loyal users.
