Huawei Mate XT Launch Announcement
Huawei is set to unveil the Huawei Mate XT, the world’s first tri-foldable phone, on Sept. 10 in China. The device is available for pre-orders on Huawei’s Vmall online store, with the listing now featuring both the red and black variants.
Mate XT “Dark Black” Edition Features Golden Accents and Limited Availability
Like the red model, the “Dark Black” edition of the Mate XT showcases a golden frame, gold accents on the camera island, and matching gold hinges. The device will be offered in two variants, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB, with the official announcement scheduled for Sept. 10 in China. The Mate XT is expected to be available for purchase starting Sept. 20, but rumors suggest it will only be released in limited quantities.
Mate XT Rumored Specifications
The Huawei Mate XT is rumored to feature a foldable screen that can expand to 10 inches with a punch-hole housing an 8-megapixel camera.
Its rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera. The device is said to be powered by a Kirin 9-series chipset.
There is limited information available about other specifications of the Huawei Mate XT. Rumors suggest a possible price of 15,000 Yuan (~$2,100) in China. Given that it is a first-generation device, it may primarily target the domestic market.
