Ferrari Unveils Plans For Electric Supercar Launching Next Year $500,000 with Full Details
Luxury car manufacturer Ferrari is set to unveil its first electric vehicle (EV) next year, expected to be priced over $500,000 (approximately Rs 4.17 crore), excluding additional options. The Purosangue SUV starts at $398,350 in the USA and Rs 10.5 crore in India due to substantial taxes on imported luxury cars. Leaked patent documents hint that Ferrari’s upcoming EV will be a two-seater, equipped with an electric motor on each wheel. The company is also working on its second electric model, currently in the development phase.

Ferrari is preparing to inaugurate a new manufacturing plant in Maranello, northern Italy, which will become fully operational within 3-4 months and is designed to produce EVs, hybrids, and internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. This plant is anticipated to increase Ferrari’s annual production capacity to around 20,000 units. Fabio Caldato, a portfolio manager at AcomeA SGR, an investment firm that holds Ferrari shares, pointed out that waiting lists for some Ferrari models can exceed two years.
