Bluesky has gained immense popularity in the country, with one million downloads in just three days. The app has become the top free app on the iPhone app chart in Brazil, as confirmed by the company on X.

Welcoming ONE MILLION New Users!

In the last three days, a whopping one million new users have joined the platform, marking a significant milestone and growth for the community. This surge in users is a cause for celebration and indicates a positive trend in the platform’s popularity and reach.

Brazil Leads in Bluesky Activity – Brazil has achieved new all-time-highs in activity on the decentralized social app Bluesky. The CEO of Bluesky, Jay Graber, commended Brazil for making the right choice, as the app, conceptualized by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, continues to gain popularity since its debut in February 2023 as an alternative to X for iOS users.

Reason for X’s Ban in Brazil

The microblogging platform X was suspended in Brazil due to a legal dispute with the Supreme Court over disinformation.

The conflict began when Judge de Moraes ordered X to suspend accounts spreading false information, leading to the platform’s suspension and a fine for non-compliance. Elon Musk criticized Moraes, accusing him of election interference during Brazil’s last presidential election.
