Brazil Leads in Bluesky Activity – Brazil has achieved new all-time-highs in activity on the decentralized social app Bluesky. The CEO of Bluesky, Jay Graber, commended Brazil for making the right choice, as the app, conceptualized by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, continues to gain popularity since its debut in February 2023 as an alternative to X for iOS users.
Reason for X’s Ban in Brazil
The microblogging platform X was suspended in Brazil due to a legal dispute with the Supreme Court over disinformation.
The conflict began when Judge de Moraes ordered X to suspend accounts spreading false information, leading to the platform’s suspension and a fine for non-compliance. Elon Musk criticized Moraes, accusing him of election interference during Brazil’s last presidential election.
