Boat Airdopes 300 Review – Design, Performance & Features

The Boat Airdopes 300, priced at Rs 1,499, is a competitive option in the TWS earbuds market, offering impressive sound quality without breaking the bank. Despite its affordable price, users are still unsure about the audio quality, features, and overall performance.

The Airdopes 300 earbuds are budget-friendly and feature dual 10mm drivers, compatibility with the Boat Hearables app, Spatial Audio, in-ear detection, and fast charging.

They claim 50 hours of battery life and support AI ENx technology for better calling. They also support multipoint connection, a feature often absent in this price range. The review aims to determine if these specs translate into a satisfying audio experience and feature-rich package.

Boat Airdopes 300 Design

The black-coloured TWS earbuds feature prominent Boat branding on the case, despite being lightweight and containing a 600mAh battery. The case is made of plastic and has a smooth matte finish, while the hinge is also plastic. The case’s appeal is enhanced by its sleek design.

The case has a smooth magnetic closure, ensuring durability and longevity. It features a Type-C port with a pairing button and LED light, providing protection against sweat and water splashes.

The case also includes a matte finish with blacked-out dual-tone accents in a glossy finish, giving the earbuds a premium look. The stem of the earbuds has a matte black finish, adding aesthetic appeal and better grip. The case and earbuds are IPX4-rated for protection against sweat and water splashes.

The Airdopes 300 offers a comfortable, lightweight design that fits well in the ear canal and feels right at home. It comes with two extra sets of ear tips, small and large, and medium tips pre-installed on the earbuds. However, an extra-small option would be appreciated. The lightweight design is ideal for prolonged use.

Boat Airdopes 300 Audio & performance

The Airdopes 300, known for its bass-heavy sound, is compatible with the Hearables app, but users have limited control over their audio experience. To pair the earbuds, long-press the pairing button on the case, and they connect immediately upon removal. The Hearables app, downloaded on the phone, detects the earbuds in real time without noticeable lag.

The app setup process was complex and tiresome, requiring users to log in using their phone number and OTP, create an account via email, or sign in with a Google account. The earbuds also support a feature that allows users to connect their Google account, saving settings for use across different devices linked to the same account.

The earbuds effectively handled Indian and Western instruments, maintaining clarity even at higher volumes. They sounded pleasing and rich in tracks with multiple instruments, especially considering the price. The AI ENx technology provided a clear and immersive audio experience during calls, even in noisy environments, with fewer environmental noise disturbances.

The earbuds’ multi-point connectivity function was excellent, allowing easy switching between our phone and laptop as per our specific needs.

Boat Airdopes 300 Battery

The Boat AirDopes 300 TWS earbuds feature a 600 mAh battery and fast charging technology with a USB Type-C port. They claim up to 50 hours of total playtime with one full charge and 2.5 hours of top-up with 10 minutes of charging. However, battery backup may vary depending on listening habits.

The Airdopes 300 offers bass-heavy sound quality across all genres, making it versatile for different listening preferences. Its durable design and fine build quality make it a solid choice for budget-conscious buyers seeking performance and affordability. However, the app setup process could be improved.
