ASUS launches NUC 14 Pro: New Mini-PCs in NUC Family
ASUS launches NUC 14 Pro, a new Mini-PC series in its NUC family, taking over the brand from Intel. The NUC 14 line includes models like NUC 14 Performance and NUC 14 ROG, tailored for gaming and workstation tasks with NVIDIA RTX 40 graphics. While these systems are pricier, they cater to users seeking compact desktop solutions or versatile options for business and entertainment needs, potentially replacing traditional Home Theater PCs.
NUC 14 Pro AI Design Update
The new NUC model, 14 Pro AI, retains the 4×4 inch form factor but with a more rounded design.
This change was facilitated by adjustments to the board design. The Intel Lunar Lake CPUs in this model have integrated memory, eliminating the need for SODIMM slots, which saves space but also means no memory upgrades are possible.
ASUS NUC 14 Series
- ROG NUC: up to Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake”, RTX 4060/4070 dGPU
- NUC 14 Performance: up to Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake”, RTX 4060/4070 dGPU
- NUC 14 Pro+: up to Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake”
- NUC 14 Pro: up to Core Ultra 165H “Meteor Lake”
- NUC 14 PRO AI: Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake”
The PC has two USB Type-A ports and one Thunderbolt 4 port. It includes a Copilot button next to the power button, which may be confusing to users. The button seems unnecessary, especially when the PC is on a desk.
Mini-PC NUC 14 Pro AI with AI Assistant Button
It’s noteworthy that the NUC 14 Pro AI is not the first Mini-PC with an AI assistant button, as a previous model by Minisforum had a similar feature. However, the Core Ultra 200V series in the NUC 14 Pro AI is anticipated to be fully certified for the Microsoft Copilot+PC program, distinguishing it from the Core Ultra 100H series. Pricing and release date details for the NUC 14 Pro AI are still pending confirmation.
